Thrift McLemore is proud to compete in this year’s Georgia Legal Food Frenzy!
Now in its tenth year, the annual Georgia Legal Food Frenzy challenges the Atlanta legal community to raise money for the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Before the pandemic, 1 in 5 children lived in a household that lacked consistent access to food. During the pandemic, the Atlanta Community Food Bank reports a 300% increase in inquiries from people seeking food assistance. In response to these inquiries, the Atlanta Community Food Bank is distributing almost 50% more food weekly than last year during the same period.
This year’s Georgia Legal Food Frenzy kicks off on April 19 and runs through the end of the month. The competition is timed to prepare for the Summer months and meet the increased, ongoing need for food donations.
Last year, the competition raised $852,090 for the food bank. That is enough money to buy 3.3 million meals for Georgia’s regional food banks!
