Mr. Thrift is a corporate/transactional, real estate, fractional ownership/timeshare and licensing attorney, active and in good-standing in the State of Georgia. He has experience in M&A, securities, '33 and '34 Act compliance, start-ups, corporate governance, lending/credit, private equity, venture capital, real estate, fractional ownership/timeshare, professional licensing and general corporate law.
Prior to forming Thrift & McLemore, Mr. Thrift worked as both a contractor and an employee of certain publicly and privately held timeshare/fractional real estate companies, was general counsel of a privately held recreational vehicle dealership group, and was an attorney with the international law firms of McDermott Will & Emery, King & Spalding and Jones Day. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Thrift was a financial analyst with Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo Securities).
Mr. McLemore is a Member of Thrift & McLemore based in Atlanta. Prior to joining Thrift & McLemore, Mr. McLemore was a commercial litigator with Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs in Atlanta and then an independent commercial real-estate and business attorney. Mr. McLemore brings over fifteen years of experience representing business clients in contract disputes, commercial transactions, alternative dispute resolution, employment issues, commercial real estate development and leasing, financing (including floor-plan financing), general business counseling, intellectual property issues, timeshare disputes, and general litigation.
Mr. McLemore received his JD cum laude from Tulane University School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree in political science from Louisiana State University.
